The Grand Duchy's annual WTA tennis tournament, the BGL-BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open, kicked off with its first matches yesterday and once again Grand Duke Henri did not miss the chance to watch the match between Mandy Minella of Luxembourg and German Mona Barthel. Unfortunately for all Luxembourgish tennis fans, Minella lost 3:6 and 4:6. No other Luxembourgish player made it into the main draw of the tournament.
As I don't spy any pros managed by Lawrence Frankopan on the players list, I have doubts that we will see Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie at the tournament during the upcoming days unlike last year. Anyway, a handful of the Grand Duke at the tennis yesterday can be found at Pressphoto.lu.
