Grand Duchess Underwent Surgery

Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa underwent arthroscopic surgery on her right knee to treat an injury this morning. The cour grand-ducale released a statement saying that the operation, which was performed at the CHL - Clinique d'Eich in Dommeldange, was a success. An arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure on a joint which tries to examine and treat a number of orthopaedic conditions including torn cartilage (known by doctors as "meniscus"), torn surface (articular) cartilage, ACL reconstruction, and trimming damaged cartilage.

The Grand Duchess is expected to leave the hospital and return to the Château de Berg in the coming days, recovery will take a few weeks time. The cour has not made a statement yet whether Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa will have any official engagements during this period of time.

Team Luxarazzi wishes Madame la Grand-Duchesse a quick recovery!
